Discussion and resources on Sentiment Analysis using cnvrg.io Blueprints
In order to access data from the Twitter API, you need a developer account. This post first uses pictures to show how to setup a developer account and then goes over how to search tweets using R and Python.
1.) Create a twitter account if you do not already have one.
2.) On the twitter developer account page, you will be asked to answer a few questions. For example, I was asked for a phone number, country, and use case. The next step is to read and agree to the developer agreement.
3.) Verify your email.
4.) After verifying your email, you will be sent to a welcome screen. Name your app and click on Get keys. In the image below, I named my app CorgiTutorial.
5.) Save your keys to a secure location.
